SPA time!

January 24, 2010

No, it’s not the kind with facials and saunas, but it certainly is a place for rejuvenation. Senior Portrait Artists (SPA - pronounced spah) is a membership organization on a constant quest to provide information for the high school senior photographer in a creative, artistic, and innovative form from both inside and outside the photography industry.

SPA is dedicated to renewing creativity and sparking not only the evolution of photography and design, but also the revolution of style. Reminisce is thrilled to now be member, and to have been one of a limited number of photography studio that attended the 2010 SPA Event.

About that Event… The SPA Event is one that travels the nation, and in 2010, they came to America’s Finest City, and held right here at the Hotel Del Coronado. Photographers from all over the county, and 15 national winning models descended on our fine city to teach, learn, inspire, and of course, photograph those winning models. Perhaps 2011’s Event will include a model found by Reminisce.

Until then, enjoy some photos from this years event.

Class of 2010-Congratulations!

September 1, 2009

For everyone with children…we are all sad to see summer go but excited for the new school year to begin! I know this summer, being at home with my daughter, Cassi, was a blessing as much as a curse! I loved the time we spent together but I am missing that “me” time I can have when she is in school. Geri’s sons are just starting their journey into preschool and elementary school and Geri is already involved in many volunteer projects at their prospective schools. Cassi starts a new chapter of her life by beginning middle school this year. Anyone who has been through the middle school years has warned/assured? me these are the hardest to get through so I am looking for all of the prayers and advice I can get!

Most of our blog followers know that Geri and I both worked many of the last summers for a company that catered to high school seniors (I believe almost 2400 of them each summer). I have to say that by September we were usually a bit tired, worn out and cranky from so many sessions in such a small amount of time. We now find ourselves blessed to be able to cater to a fewer number of high school seniors on a personal basis that allows us so many more opportunities than before. We are excited to connect with some of the local high schools in our area and offer them sessions that show off their personalities and allow them to shine in one of the many gorgeous venues San Diego has to offer!

We photographed Kellie in La Jolla on a gorgeous San Diego summer day. Her Mom and her were a joy to work with and we had a great time getting to know all about Kellie and her busy senior year coming up. The camera loved her and we can not wait to hear her reaction to the images we were able to capture for her!

Thank you, Kellie, for being such a beautiful subject and giving Geri and I just one more reason that we love what we do!

Enjoy!

PS…Look in the coming days for the fabulous Caroccia Clan and Honselaar Hotties and their sessions! I can’t wait to share them with all of you!

What a Treat

June 25, 2009

I love what we do for a living. I know, I know, I’ve said it only about a hundred times before and you know I’ll say it again.

Markie Battaglia one of the reasons I love what we get to do. Not only is she about the easiest person to photograph, and truly as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside, she’s given this business the best complement by recommending us to others. Thank you, Markie.
